4/12/2010 - phpOpenFW 1.0 Released!
phpOpenFW 1.0 has been released. This is a major release of phpOpenFW with major changes. The entire code base has been cleaned up and made to run more efficiently while adding some new features (Please see the Change Log). Also, phpLiteFW has been rolled into phpOpenFW to give developers two frameworks in one. The functionality of phpLiteFW remains the same except that phplitefw.inc.php now lives in phpOpenFW. Several legacy features have also been removed from phpOpenFW including: admin modules, the built-in error handler, and authorization. I found that the error handler provided little value and that most applications being developed, developers wanted to create their own methods of authorization. Authentication for use with phpOpenFW is still available. The admin modules can be extracted from phpOpenFW v0.8.5 and included into the normal module structure of your application if you wish to use them. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or bugs.

12/1/2009 Again - phpOpenFW 0.8.5 & phpLiteFW 0.8.0 Released
New versions of both phpOpenFW and phpLiteFW have been released. The updates in both releases corrects the same issue in both frameworks. In order to comply with PHP's strict standards on class inheritance, a few classes that were child classes of the abstract 'element' class needed to have their parameters updated to be more inline with the parent class. These classes should no longer cause non-compliance warnings.

6/4/2009 - phpOpenFW 0.8.2 & phpLiteFW 0.7.5 Released
New versions of phpOpenFW and phpLiteFW have been released. These releases bring large refinements to the Core Data Access code base. All of the database drivers are even more unified in their functionality to yield better performance and consistency. Error handling for databases related errors is now more consistent. New drivers for Oracle and MySQLi have been added as well. In the near future I hope to also create drivers for SQLite and Sybase. The Database Interface Object ("dio" plugin) does not yet work with Oracle, but will in the very near future. Also coming down the pipe is a restructuring of the core page structure code base for phpOpenFW to create XML data more efficiently on the back-end. Enjoy the new updates!
