Structure and Flexibility with Power

phpOpenFW is an open-source MVC PHP web application and web site framework. It is designed to be highly structured to facilitate development of powerful, flexible, standardized web sites and web applications. It uses current web standards such as XSLT, XML, XHTML, and CSS.

Why another PHP Framework?

phpOpenFW has most of the same features of existing MVC frameworks so why create yet another PHP Framework? The short answer is that I began developing phpOpenFW a few years ago before most of the currently available frameworks were available or stable to use. After a few years of development and several web applications later I have decided to share phpOpenFW with the open-source community and will be releasing it under the GPL version 2 license. The features of phpOpenFW make it a robust web framework for developing powerful, flexible, standardized web applications and web sites.

What's in the Package?

Included in each version of phpOpenFW is:

phpOpenFW (the web application framework)
phpLiteFW (the light web site and web application framework)

Developer documentation

Although documentation exists with phpOpenFW, it is currently brief and incomplete in some areas. More complete documentation will be coming in the future.
